| If you have more then one type of digital camera media you will want to view "Digital Film Readers" that is also on this web. If you only have one type of media, either Smart Media, Compact Flash, PC Card and others, you will want to read this article. This article will only cover one type of media. |

| Philips has an item that will plug into the PC card input of most lap top computers that will take Smart Media cards. This item will only work with the 8 Meg Smart Media. It will not work with any Smart Media over 8 Meg. |

| Insert the Smart Media card and then when you check "My Computer" you will see another drive listed on the screen. Then you can drag and drop your pictures from your Smart Media to your regular hard drive. |

| Then you can delete the pictures on your Smart Media by using your regular computer.

| This will only work with Smart Media. When the Philips is in your lap top it will not stick out. |

| Microtech has a group of readers on the market. There is a different one for each of the different media chips. (Smart Media, Compact Flash, PC Cards and others. ) |

| It works the same way that the above one works but you have to pick up the one that fits the type of media you have. The Microtech plugs into the USB port of any computer and will work like the above. The Smart Media will work with any unit up to 128 Meg. The cost of these is about $29.99 at this time. The is about the same size as a 9 volt battery. If you are looking for them you will see that they are black with the word "Z!O!" on it. |
